Art Foundation

At the moment i am studying Graphics in my Art Foundation year so here is some of my work to prove that i do something in college 

iRecord

For this project we had to redesign the recorder, So i decided to resign it as the next Ipod. i came up with the idea that it could be retrackable, and that the music played on the recorder could be recorded hence the name iRecord. 

TheBandWithNoName

This project was to create album art for an actual band or artist but we all had to look at the Artist Stanley Donwood who create many of the album art for Radiohead. I decided to pick the Band TheBandWithNoName.

I did alot of screen and collograph printing, pretty much anything that didnt inolve a computer  .When we were told that we werent allowed to use computers until the end, you should of seen the faces of many in the group

I created two album covers, the first was for the album  Schizophrenix
For this album i came up with idea of making it 3D and that in the CD there would 3D glasses.

The second cover i created was for the album Dying to be there



I then did a T-Shirt to go with this album

Nam June Paik Exhibit

We were asked for this porject to advertise the Latest exhibit at the Tate which was Nam June Paik, so i created a leaflet

Signs



We had to create signs for a club or theme of our choice. I took the theme of a Punk Rock Club. 

This is the toliet sign idea that i came up with

Then i thought about creating some staff signs and this is what i came up with. I played about with the 'devil horn' sumbol to come up with staff sign.

 I also played about with the use of skulls but in the end i used one of the 'devil horn' creations.

Lion King

"i want to paint .... pictures to scare naughty children" - i want to paint by Adrien Henri

I choose to illustrate this line from Henri's poem. i decided to take the characters from lion king and make them more animalistic

I started with the character Simba; Old and Young

I also tried some of the other characters

 hyenas; Shenzi, Banzai and Ed

Peter Pan

We had to take the characters from an illustrated book and make it look like they'd come out of the book itself, much like Abelardo Morell's Alice in Wonderland pictures.

This was done earlier in the year as like a taster before chosing the option you wanted to specialise in 

APP

We were asked to promote ourselves, so i decided to promote myself as an editing company. The company is called APP, a Panda Production. To show this i decided to create some business cards for the company

Art Foundation - Live Project

This is the first live project we were given in the art foundation year, it was to redesign the existing leaflet for art foundation at Carmel College

The idea that i came up with is that i wanted to create something that could be taken away and that it could be kept in a pocket. So i came up with this, an A3 sheet that would be folded to very small, possibly A7

Willowbrook Hospice Fashion Show

Each year Willowbrook Hospice do a charity fashion show between several schools and colleges, and my college is apart of it. This year the theme is the Royal Wedding and as our college was hosting the event, we were asked to do the promotion side of the event.
